The Fall weather in Tacoma has been a little on the chilly side but has had gorgeous sunny afternoons. So while I had some french bread rising in the kitchen we snuck away to Picha's Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins for the season.
We chose to go to Picha's specifically because they had a pumpkin sling shot! If you shot the mini pumpkin into the target you won a free 15 pound pumpkin.
It was $1 for two shots so Tom gave it a go. He almost made the first one, and came up shy on the second...
But, that didn't stop us from finding our pumpkins! I was on the look out for a short fatty pumpkin and Tom did what he usually does, wait until he sees a pumpkin that strikes him in some way or another as unique.
Well, this year, that meant the BIGGEST pumpkin around :)
And, I picked up a small one for pumpkin pie making later in the month - yum!
So, we made it home just in time to pop the bread in the oven. What a lovely fall evening this turned out to be!
