Happy Halloween!

In preparation for Halloween we decided it was time to carve our pumpkins from Picha farms that we got last week. We brought them in from outside and they were filthy from the yucky weather so we had to clean them off first :)

So, with Sunday night football on in the background we dug into our pumpkins!

Tom's was HUGE so it took a little longer than mine (and a little more elbow grease too).

So, while he was muscling his way through the pumpkin.......

....I decided that a rainy, cold sunday night wouldn't be complete without some chocolate chip cookies with Grandma Bowler's recipe! YUM!

When all said and done we were pretty pleased with how they turned out. Even if you didn't know who's pumpkin was bigger I'm sure you can figure out who made which one from the designs :)

They had to stay indoors for a night though because we were having a crazy winter storm with sideways rain from crazy winds that developed into hail. We even had some lightning! But, with a few candles, the glow of the pumpkins made us forget about the crappy weather.

And, to top of our halloween festivities, we received a surprise in the mail from Tom and Nancy- a pumpkin full of goodies!

I was so ecstatic to see the oreo's I didn't even wait to look at the rest of the contents, I went right for the "pull here" tab on the package so I could taste the oreo goodness :)

Tom dug a little deeper and found all the goodies for us.

Oh, and he happened to find some cookie cutters so perhaps some more cookies are in order for the Glassman's tonight? :) THANKS MOM AND DAD!
